PRP alleges plot to weaken opposition coalition ahead of 2027

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) alleged that some ruling party members are plotting to destabilise it by using former and serving PRP officials to create divisions and undermine its grassroots support ahead of the 2027 election. PRP warned against unauthorised recruitment of polling agents, claimed senior ruling party members were being persuaded to finance the scheme with hundreds of millions of naira, and said it remains committed to building an opposition coalition to challenge the current administration.
