Petrol: Transporters raise fares, commuters groan

Motorists and commuters across Nigeria continue to face high petrol prices above N1,400 per litre at many NNPC stations despite a announced government fuel discount, with many unable to access it due to requirements like using a mobile app or buying only from specific outlets. This has led transporters to raise fares because of fuel, maintenance and other costs, while passengers struggle with increased living expenses and some switch to cheaper options like motorcycles.
