TUC rejects N70,000 transport allowance, demands immediate pay rise

The Trade Union Congress rejected the federal government's proposed six-month N70,000 monthly transport allowance for public servants, calling it a haphazard temporary measure after fuel subsidy removal. TUC demanded an immediate salary increase for all workers instead and noted it did not sign the memorandum of understanding reached with the NLC.
