Niger revives Christian pilgrimage exercise
The Niger State Government under Governor Mohammed Bago has revived state sponsorship of Christian pilgrimages to the Holy Land for 2026. This comes over ten years after the previous administration stopped the practice in 2016 due to economic challenges and insecurity in the Middle East.
