Lagos gives residents until Dec 31 2026 to get health insurance

The Lagos State Government has set a December 31 2026 deadline for all residents to get health insurance with mandatory enforcement starting January 1 2027. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu also launched the Lagos Private Health Plans to cover salaried workers and companies alongside the existing Ilera Eko scheme for vulnerable people.
