Can the media announce election results before INEC’s official declaration?, By Samson Itodo

Media organizations can share and aggregate officially announced election results from polling units as public information to promote transparency, but they must not present this as a final declaration of the winner. Until INEC makes an official declaration, no candidate can legally be regarded as having won, and all figures remain part of an ongoing results management process.
